Mark was a humble, loving, and kind man with family and friends. He never met a stranger. Mark's last note from his mother described him as "strong spirit in a quiet way, a blessing from God". Mark was a person who loved life and enjoyed making people smile. He enjoyed spending time with his high school friends yearly to laugh, tell a few lies, play golf, and make lasting memories. Mark was an avid sports fan and attended many sporting events in is life. His favorite sport by far was baseball. Mark was happy to finally see the Houston Astros win the World Series in 2017.
For those of us who knew, loved, and lived with him, the loss of Mark in our midst is a life changing blow. Yet we are strengthened by the joy we have that we had Mark and that we learned from his kind and loving spirit. He was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, and friend. We are at peace knowing that he is in the comfort and presence of the Savior he loved.
