Mark Patrick Griffith was born on June 6, 1980, to Marcia and Ronald Griffith in Channelview, TX.
At the age of 8, Mark and his parents moved to Herndon, VA. During their five years in the Washington, D.C. area, they took advantage of visiting historical sites on the East Coast.
In 1993, the Griffiths moved back to Texas to Bedford where Mark attended Harwood Jr. High and then graduated from Trinity High School where he excelled in math and science and participated in wrestling and football.
Mark attended and graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Business. After graduation from TCU, he furthered his education by completing several computer "coding" classes.
He was considered an essential worker during the COVID pandemic and worked at Premier Logistics imaging computers for medical establishments.
Mark was kindhearted and loved his many furry friends including cats Misty and Ginger (the original Mean Girl) and his dogs Bo, the Golden Retrievers Lucy, Emma, and Sunny.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frankie Marie Griffith, Carl and Mary Griffith, and Ross and Frieda Padgett. He is survived by his parents, aunts Terri Padgett and Frances Griffith, uncle Hank Schindler, several cousins, and special friend Suzanne D. Sarlls-Hartwell and his dog Dixie.
He was a fan of David Letterman and on his 16th birthday, he and his Aunt Terri attended the taping of a Letterman show, in New York City, where Mark was an enthusiastic audience member.
Mark enjoyed the music of Meat Loaf and Kenny Rogers. Also, he was a lifelong fan of WWE Wrestling. In addition, he enjoyed fishing in Colorado.
In the last several years, Mark faced many health issues. He endured painful medical treatment in hope that he would return to an independent life. Music was therapy for Mark. After one of his surgeries, to ease his pain, in the hospital, he and his mom sang loudly Meat Loaf's, "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad."
Although he will be greatly missed by his family and friends, we celebrate his life. Rest in peace, Mark.
The family would like to extend special appreciation to Dr. Jordan Ernst and Dr. Marc Delara, his foot doctors who worked tirelessly to help Mark.
