Marlene Carroll

February 17, 2017 at 7:54pm, Marlene Carroll was called to her heavenly home. Marlene was born September 25, 1918 to Roy and Kate Sylvara in Lucas, Iowa. She graduated Chariton High School, and then married Donald Edwin Carroll. She is preceded in death by parents, Roy and Kate Sylvara, siblings Clara Justus, Marvin “Pete” Sylvara, Mable Starkey, Martha Wilson, and husband Donald Carroll. Survived by daughter, Margaret “Maggi” Carroll, grandsons, Sean and Coire Johnson, granddaughter in-laws, Terra and Tina Johnson, great grandchildren, Magan, Cyle, and Bryce Johnson, and Susan Garner. She was right where she wanted to be when she passed; surrounded by her loving family, including members from Iowa and California. Marlene was a grandmother and great-grandmother that had a joyful life surrounded by her family. She was truly loved and anybody that met her would never have forgotten her. She was strong willed, strong tempered, and very caring.
