Marolyn Phipps Phillips, aka Nana, 74, passed away on December 14, 2019 at a nursing home in Watauga, TX.
Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home.
Marolyn was born on June 13, 1945 in Andrews, TX to Hubert and Evelyn Phipps. She grew up in Vernon and graduated from Vernon High School in 1963. After high school, she married Harry Thomas Phillips aka Tommy and Papa in 1963 in Vernon, TX. They were happily married for 50 years and 6 days until his passing. Marolyn worked as a medical administrator until she retired. She enjoyed her husband and son Brad most of all! She then enjoyed her grandkids and great-grandkids once they came along. She loved her tv shows such as law and order SVU and CSI. Marolyn loved to watch high school baseball and the Texas Rangers. In the past she loved casinos with papa and she really loved her coffee, French vanilla cappuccino, and tea (but only with sweet n low). She liked to go out to eat a lot and could crochet very well. She loved her games on her computer, then the game boy and finally traded it in for her ipad.
Marolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Evelyn Phipps; brother, Jerry Phipps; husband, Tommy Phillips and son, Thomas Bradley Phillips aka, "Brad".
Survivors: Siblings, Carolyn Gilliland of Cypress, TX, Johnny (Debbie) Phipps of Blanchard, OK, Patricia Dike of Fort Worth, TX; daughters in law, Kay (Allen) Haswell of Burleson and Melissa (Kenny) Wilson of Weatherford, TX; grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Phillips, Trey Phillips, Sharei Phillips; step-grandchildren, Shelbi Howell, Shaeli Ishmael; great-grandchildren, Westley Phillips, Raleigh Phillips; nieces and nephews, Patrick Dike, Robert Dike, Mark Harris, Sherry Beth Robinson, Debra Bolton, Kyle Phipps, Jayson Phipps and other relatives.
