Martey Lamar Skaggs

The Skaggs family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Martey Lamar Skaggs on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023.

Martey Lamar Skaggs, aged 46, was born August 25th, 1976 in Fort Worth, Texas to loving parents, Perry and Cynthia Skaggs. He graduated from Haltom City schools and attended Lincoln College of Technology in Grand Prairie. There Martey focused on mechanical skills and learning about cars, motors, and R.V’s, which went on to serve him well in his profession as a mechanic.

Martey enjoyed being outside, and his favorite hobbies reflected that. He loved fishing and hunting, playing rounds of golf, and watching drag racing.

Martey is survived by his parents, Perry and Cynthia Skaggs; his brother, Charles Skaggs; his son, Landon Skaggs; his special "Uncle Marshall"--'Mont' a real Cowboy and other fishing buddy; and Martey had many other aunts and uncles, and cousins, that he did not see often, but loved all his family; and many cherished, life-long friends.

A memorial service for Martey will be held Friday, March 31st, 2023 at 2 o’clock pm in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, located at 1601 S. Main Street, Keller, Texas 76248. A reception will follow the memorial service at the funeral home.
