Martha was born on April 13th, 1935 in Azle Texas, the daughter of Oliver Perry Mcdonald and Frances Welch Mcdonald, both of whom preceded her in death. She passed from this life to the next on November 2, 2019.
Martha was the second child of her parents and she was proceeded in death by her sisters Barbara Bass, Linda Horn, and Sue Jeans.
She is survived by her brother Perry Mcdonald and his wife Margie, of Lindale Texas.
Martha married her childhood sweetheart Tommie Franklin Ingram on September 5th, 1954. Tommie and Martha began their family as the welcomed Donald Mac Ingram in 1955. He and his wife Karen survive and live in Hudson Oaks, Texas. Martha and Tom welcomed their second son Kenneth Franklin in 1957. He and his wife Carla survive and live in Rockaway beach Missouri. And Finally, in 1963 Tom and Martha welcomed their only daughter Mary Marsha Field into the family. She and her husband Tim, survive and live in Alberta Canada.
Martha and Tom lived most of their adult life in Everman. Martha lived in Everman for 53 years. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Weatherford Texas.
There were many joyful and abundant things in Martha’s life. Her faith, her family and her friends.
Martha came to faith in Christ as a young girl, She loved the Lord and it showed in the way she served him. In her young life, she loved to use her musical gifts to serve the Lord. She played the organ at First Baptist Everman for over 40 years. For many years she served as director of the Food Pantry here at First Baptist. She served in many different capacities throughout the years. It was a joyful and meaningful part of her life.
Martha loved her family with all of her heart. Not only her own kids, but the absolute joy of her life was her grandchildren.
Her grandchildren all survive her and are here today.
Her grandchildren are Chad Ingram and his wife Jamie who live in Burleson with their daughters Kaden and Kenlie, Sarah Dechert and her husband Charleton and their daughter Ava, residents of Weatherford, Ashlee Webb and her husband William and their daughter Nora who live in Kirbyville Missouri, Bryan Ingram and his soon to be wife Stephanie and there daughters Melody and Alex who reside in Overland Park Kansas and Jacob Field who lives in Alberto Canada.
In addition to her immediate family, Martha loved her nieces and nephews who are too numerous to mention. What joy you brought to her life.
In addition to her faith, her family. She had a full life because of her dear friends. Sue Kelly, Nan Boatwright, and Catherine Watts. Thank you for investing your lives in Martha’s. She loved you all so much. Again Martha had so many friends that it is impossible to mention you all, but just know that you made her life complete.
Martha had a very fulfilling professional life as she served in the Ft. Worth Public schools with great joy.
Family and friends, thank you for being here to celebrate Martha’s life with us today. Each of you touched her life, and she would say thank you for allowing her to be a part of hers.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to The Hospice ward at Hugley hospital as they cared for Martha, these last few days. Their grace, your caring and your knowledgeable mercy will never be forgotten.
