Martha Ann Lee, 80 a devoted and loving wife and mother passed away peacefully in her home Monday November 1, after a long and brave battle with multiple health issues complicated by Alzheimers.
Survived by Son Scott Lee and daughter Alison Lee and her Fiance Darin Grayson. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis B. Lee Jr., Father Clarence Kapp, Mother Emily Kapp, Brother Bill Kapp, Sister in Law Marie Kapp and nephews Paul and Andy Kapp.
Martha grew up in Houston Texas graduated High School and attended The University of Houston. When she married Louis Lee in 1962 they relocated to Euless, Texas where she assisted her husband start a successful Dental Practice. They led a busy and active life.
Martha was an avid animal lover and was often called the dog whisperer. She devoted her time
to many organizations where she was actively involved. She often ran small obedience classes and provided private lessons. She was an active member for many years in the Dallas Basenji club where she served in many capacities. She was involved in breeding, showing in conformation and obedience and enjoyed many years with the club. Martha volunteered at the
Fort Worth Zoo as a docent volunteer. She volunteered with Texas Hearing and Service dogs for many years. She was a foster trainer and involved in many facets of the training process. She also advocated for THSD where she traveled and participated in fundraising and education for the organization. Martha was a master trainer for service dogs and helped people obtain their certification for their service dog. She was always enthusiastic to lend a hand or advise on animal behavior or learn something new. She spent many years going to conferences all over
and enjoyed meeting new people and sharing her knowledge and learning something new. Martha also was an auxiliary volunteer at THR Bedford for many years.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday November 19 from 5 - 7 at Ravens Grill in Euless Texas.
Memorials : In lieu of flowers The family asks for donations to Trinity GAP Rescue which is a non profit dedicated to helping save animals.
