Martha Faye Motley

Martha Faye Lowe Motley was born in Hill County, Texas to James Cash Lowe and Minnie Lee Carroll Lowe on September 12, 1930. She was the sixth of seven children and the only one to graduate high school. She married Albert L. Motley on July 2, 1948. They were blessed with three children, James Michael Motley, Donna Gail Motley Bowling and Terry Lee Motley. Martha worked for H-E-B School District in the cafeteria at Bellaire Elementary, Hurst Junior High and Donna Park Elementary. She and Al were charter members of Bedford Christian Church which is now Compass Christian Church in Colleyville. She had a servant’s heart and over the years volunteered at church, Care Corps, Salvation Army Christmas Tree and Meals on Wheels. Martha is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Albert L Motley, her daughter, Donna Motley Bowling, her grandchildren: Kristi (Kent) Greenwell, Kara (Frank) Nichols, James Cory Motley, Stephanie Motley and Corine Motley, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by all her siblings, her sons, James Michael Motley and Terry Lee Motley.
