Martha "Frances" Rogers, 91, departed from this life Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, 308 SE Fifth St., Mineral Wells. Interment: 4 p.m. Saturday in Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller and 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church. Pall bearers: Gordon Jones, Mike Rogers, Keith Fail, Ben Dumpke, Gary Weldon, Roger Weldon, Joey Rogers.
She was a descendant of R.B. Graves, who settled in Erath County in the 1852 and started the original 3 Circle Ranch, still in existence today. She was born near Stephenville, Texas in 1920 and moved to Mineral Wells in 1952 and resided there most of her life, retiring from Phillips Components at the age of 70. She was a long-time member of Parker Street Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer and secretary for many years and was a Sunday school teacher. She was most recently a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was dedicated to her family, a loving mother and grandmother, and will be cherished in our hearts forever. Survivors: Children, Janice Kay Raver and husband, Don, Jimmie Joe Rogers and wife, Beth; 13 grandchildren, including two that grew up in Mineral Wells: Gordon Jones and wife, Candy, and Amy Dumpke, and husband Ben; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
