Martin Feeney

Martin James Feeney was born on December 1st 1930 to Martin and Mary Feeney in Brooklyn, New York. He passed away peacefully on February 16th 2025 at the age of 94.Martin enlisted in the United States Army after High School and served during the Korean War.

Upon returning to New York from his time in the military, he settled down in Northport and eventually began his career with Off Track Betting in Suffolk County New York where he would eventually become President and retire from that organization. He spent his retirement in Delray Beach, FL with his wife IreneHe moved to Texas in 2015 to be closer to family after the passing of his wife Irene.

Martin is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, brothers Dominick Feeney and Walter Feeney, sister Mary Ita Dwyer, first wife Mary Feeney and late wife Irene Feeney.

He is survived by his son John Feeney (Pam) , daughter Kathleen Vella( Scott), grandsons Brandon Vella, John Wiley Feeney and Patrick Vella. As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He will be laid to rest next to his late wife Irene in a private ceremony at Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Florida. Martin was proud of his Irish heritage and took his children and grandchildren for a wonderful trip to Ireland in 2016.
