Marvin Glenn Lamar, 72, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016.
Services: Wednesday, November 30, 2016, 10am at Lucas Funeral Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Rd., Hurst. Graveside will follow service. Visitation, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 6-8pm at Lucas Funeral Home.
Marvin owned and operated Audio Plus in Fort Worth, previously co-owned Little Dude Trailer and, like his father, he worked for the Dr Pepper Bottling Company. He never met a stranger, his energy and kindness were infectious, he enjoyed making people laugh, and was always the life-of-the-party. Marvin loved Friday night dinners with his wife and daughter, where they often enjoyed a local Mexican Food restaurant. With a passion for Doo-Wop and music in general, traveling, being a parent chaperone, PTA, and dance dad, being outdoors, watching Rangers baseball, and collecting wolf memorabilia, he was an upstanding, one-of-a-kind southern gentleman who will be missed by many.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; daughter, Chelsey and boyfriend Chris Graham; son, Michael (Cindy); two grandchildren; brothers, Loyd (Carol), Melvin (Sophia), Teddy (Sabra); sisters, Margaret Lamar (R.G. Smith), Glenda Walker (Bruce); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly and Ralph Hornick; sweet dog, Sara and a host of other relatives and friends.
