Mary Lucille Rogers Avery, 103, of Saginaw passed away December 5, 2018.
Graveside service 1:00 pm Monday, December 10, 2018 at Saginaw Cemetery officiated by Kevin Barke. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mary was born September 24, 1915 in Hamilton County Texas to Joe C. and Florence Inez Rogers, where she lived to adulthood with her parents. She married Eray Troy Avery on August 24, 1941 and moved to Fort Worth. She has lived in Saginaw Texas the last 18 years.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Avery and his wife Judy from Fort Worth, and Roger Avery from Pensacola Florida; Four grandchildren, Kenneth, Vickie and her husband Gerald Ferguson, Shelly Avery of West Virginia, and Shannon Satterfield of Virginia; Also, 6 great grandchildren, Sam, Alex , Julian, and William Avery from Ft Worth, Bryce Satterfield of Virginia, Kaylee and Roger Jr Avery from Florida.
Preceding her in death: Julian Avery her great grandson; Her husband, Eray Avery, and sister, Mettie Cole and 2 nephews.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and independent order of odd Fellows of Ft Worth, Texas. She worked at Travis Ave. Baptist Church Ft. Worth where she was a nursery worker about 10 years. She also kept children in their home for over 20 years. She was a loving grandmother to them all. She will be missed by all.
