With heavy hearts we mourn the passing of Mary Ann Brown, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who passed away on April 17, 2024, in Burleson, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Ann was born in Buffalo, Kansas on January 2, 1947 to loving parents Phil and Phyllis Mahoney. Mary and her family moved to Texas, where she graduated from Sanford-Fritch High School in Fritch, Texas. During her working years, she dedicated nearly 40 years of her life to Bell Helicopter.

Mary loved anything that put her on center stage. Her love for dancing, cross-stitch, puzzles, and coloring were just a few of the things that showcased her vibrant personality. Mary was also an amazing story-teller. She was also one of the first members of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Burleson, Texas.

Mary Ann was married to her beloved husband, Jerry Brown, for 31 years before his passing. Her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. Everyone that knew her, knew Mary's main focus in her life was her family, her most cherished memories being the time she spent with them.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Brown, her parents Phyllis and Phil Mahoney, and her brothers Dwight, Barney, and Michael Mahoney.

She is survived by her son, Jon Gilliam; daughter, Kelly Persyn and son-in-law, Eric Persyn; grandchildren, Carter, Rylie and Carson Persyn; her sisters; Cora Kiene, Delores Hess; her brother, Merlyn Mahoney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
