Mary Ellen Couch

Mary Ellen Luster Couch passed from this earth December 22, 2022 at the age of 90. Mary was born February 2, 1932 to Richard and Ethel Davison Luster in Marysville, Texas. Her family moved around following the harvests during Mary's younger years, but later settled in North Texas, where Mary graduated from Keller High School in 1949.

Mary married Bobbie Joe Couch of Keller July 19, 1952. Mary & Bob operated "Couch's Grocery", on Davis Boulevard from 1971-1980 and Mary ran Couch's Feed Store for 3 years. Mary & Bob also owned and operated "Frontier Realty".

Mary enjoyed making memories with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary loved to cook, company never left hungry. Mary also enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Bob and Mary had many adventures traveling in their RV with their "Medicaid Brigade crew".

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, of 67 years, her parents, and brothers James Weldon, Edwin, Robert and Tommy.

Survivors are sister, Peggy Watson, brother, Johnny Luster (Joyce), daughters Renee' Collier (Phillip), Kimberly Hoop, Lisa Epps (Bruce), son Walter Couch (Donna), 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank West Fork Assisted Living in Weatherford and Interim HealthCare and Hospice of Granbury for the loving care provided to Mary.

The family will receive visitors 6-8 PM, Thursday, December 29, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main, Keller. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 30, at Legacy Church of Christ, 8801 Mid-Cities Boulevard, North Richland Hills. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Boulevard, Colleyville.
