Mary Ida Davidson of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on September 14, 2019 in Grapevine, TX. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew and loved her. She was born on September 26, 1943 in Fort Worth, TX to Harold Orr and Mary Sybille Orr. Mary grew up and went to school in Keller, TX graduating from Keller High School in 1962. She had four siblings, Pete Orr, Mickie Landers, Michael Dan Orr and Ronney Orr. Her Step Father, Robert Berkes played a major role in her upbringing as a dad and a grandpa and great grandpa to her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. In 1963, she married Thomas Earl Ashcraft. A year later she had her first child, a son, Thomas Marc. In 1968 she was once again blessed with a child, this time a girl, Susan D’nette. In 1971, she married Edward Lyndell Davidson and in 1973 they were graced with another girl, Vicki Lyn. Mary worked hard to care for her three children, often working multiple jobs. She was an electrician at General Dynamics assembling wiring harnesses for aircraft production. She also managed the dayshift warehouse shipping at United Medical Supply Company. Before retiring, she worked in the warehouse at Dickies Clothing Company. Mary loved to spend her time at Lake Texoma with friends and family, living there full time when her health would allow. Mary left a footprint in many lives because of her ability to put others needs before her own and her selfless love of the individuals she took in as family. Mary is survived by; brothers Pete Orr and Michael Dan Orr, sister Mickie Landers, daughters Susan Loyd and and Vicki Cranford, grandchildren Stephanie Ashcraft, Staci Matthews, Thomas Lee Ashcraft, Kristopher Loyd, Zachary Bennett and great grandchildren Tyler Davenport, Presley Jorgensen, Nixon Delaune, Landrye Powell, Mary Rose Ashcraft, Emma Loyd, Blayne Bennett, Thomas E. Ashcraft, Gavin Loyd and William Ashcraft. She was preceded in death by her father Harold Orr, mother Mary Sybille Berkes, step father Robert Berkes, brother Ronney Orr and son Thomas Marc Ashcraft. A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday September 21st at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX.
