Mary Carolyn (Mitzi) Frugė, of Haslet, Texas passed peacefully into heaven on February 17, 2023.
She was born on December 6, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Mary Lanell Brown and Richard S. Brown. Mitzi will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. Her gentle spirit and kind, loving heart touched many individuals. She cherished her time with family and shared her abundant love with her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside and sitting peacefully soaking up fresh air and scenery, especially when she got to visit the mountains in Ouray and Gunnison, Colorado. She was very creative and had several hobbies she enjoyed such as making jewelry, sewing, journaling, and most importantly, reading and studying God’s Word. Her faith was very important, as she shared her love for Jesus with family and many she encountered.
Mitzi is survived by her husband of 54 years, Sherman L. Frugė of Haslet, Texas; daughter, Amy Ahmad and husband, Dean; son, Michael Andrew Frugė and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Austin, Alex, Addison, and Anden; and sister, Phyllis Ketchand and husband, David.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lanell Brown; father, Richard S. Brown; and her cousin, Rhonda Holland.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to James L. West Center for Dementia Care, 1111 Summit Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76102.
