Mary was born July 19, 1940, in Corbet, Texas to Lee Bottoms & Ida Mae Martin. After Ida Mae died shortly after her birth, Mary was adopted by Edward Bryant Green & Opal Nokes who loved and raised her as their own, but they also included her siblings Hosia, Harvel, Maxine and Pauline in her life so she has always had a very close relationship with them. Mary graduated from Hobbs High School in Hobbs New Mexico. She then married Carl Hogue and became a loving mother to her 2 daughters.
She loved her Heavenly Father, the church and music, so they were always a huge part of her life. She served as pastor’s wife, church pianist, music director, led Ladies Ensembles and was always willing to take on just about any role asked of her.
Mary was always efficient and organized in everything she did with a memory like a steel trap, so the effects of Alzheimer’s was devastating to her and her family who loved her. Her family now rests in the knowledge that she is finally whole again and resting in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
Mary was preceded in death by her late birth parents and adopted parents; 2 brothers, Hosia bottoms and Havel Bottoms; 1 sister, Pauline Bottoms Newberry; and 3 half-sisters.
Survivors: Sisters, Maxine Leonard and Diane Ross; Children, Dr. Chelleye Crow and husband John, and Marlene Wills and husband Bill; 4 grandsons, Marc Crow & husband Brian, Brandon Crow & wife Sara, MSgt Jonathan Frazier & wife Mary, and Matthew Frazier; 5 great grandchildren, Madelyn Frazier, Rosalie Frazier, Claudia Frazier, Easton Crow and Emelia Crow; and numerous other loving family and dear friends that became like family.
