Haltom City — Mary Maxine Lewis, 89, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Maxine was born August 18, 1933 in Arkansas to Walter L. Anderson and Ida M. Bowden. Maxine worked all of her adult life as a waitress, sometimes serving entertainers, politicians, dignitaries, and numerous others and later retired from a career in electronics. Maxine and her husband, Durward (I.D.), loved to travel, go camping, fishing, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Durward Lewis; her parents; and four sisters.
Survivors: Son, Daniel Lewis and wife Laurie; sister Judy Buchanen and husband John; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.
