Mary L. Lively, age 93, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
Born in New Orleans, Mary was the youngest of 10 children born to the late Elvire and Leon Fontenelle. She was raised in Pointe-a-la-Hache, Louisiana. Mary and her late husband, James A. Lively, lived in the Chicago area and raised a family there.
Mary, a widow for 40 years, was predeceased by her loving husband, James A. Lively. She is survived by her children Susan Cobb, James Lively, Linda Jesson, Robert Lively and stepchildren John Lively and Cynthia Griffin; Grandchildren James McCoy, Katheryn McCoy Dieringer, Cory McCoy, Robert Gall, Marie Lively, Kyle Lively, April Osmer, Lauren Jesson, Sarah Burdine, Emily Jesson, Tanner Lively, Jason Lively, Emily Lively; Step grandchildren John Lively, Jr., Melanie Rishel and the late James Flanagan, as well as ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was a devout Catholic all of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and gardening. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 9, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst, TX.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Bedford.
Interment will be Tuesday, August 11, at 2:30 p.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Elkhart, TX.
