Mary Emma Meyers

Mary Emma Meyers, found peace as she entered into Eternal Life on May 15, 2016, at the age of 64. Preceding her death are her beloved parents, Cornelius Russell and Rose Ellen Meyers. Loving sister of Thomas P (Lori) Meyers of Georgetown, Texas; Richard E (Mary) Meyers of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; and James C (Cynthia) Meyers of North Richland Hills, Texas. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many dear friends.
Ms. Meyers was born October 22, 1951 in Port Huron, Michigan. She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Memphis, Tennessee in 1969. Mary graduated from the Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Miami, Florida in 1973. Mary was a very dedicated, caring and compassionate nurse, and began her career in the Burn Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital. After several years, she moved to the Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Mary was a surgical nurse and worked for Dr. Samuel Hamra for many years. She finished her career as a surgical nurse at Mary Shiels Hospital in Dallas. Mary regretfully leaves behind for now her beloved family and friends, but joyfuly moves forward to meet her Savior and Lord.
Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s ( www.alz.org ).
