Mary Chagoya Munoz

On Thursday, June 8th, 2023, Mary C Muñoz, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great
grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend passed away at the age of 91.

Mary was born on May 18,1932 in Dallas Texas to Jesus Chagolla and Josephine Hernandez
Chagolla. She worked for Lonestar Ceramics, National Banner and Bonhard’s Nursery. On
June 9th, 1962, she married Feliciano Muñoz Acosta. They raised two daughters, Lupita and
Lilly and one son, Feliciano Jr.

Mary had a passion for cooking and crocheting. At family parties, her mexican rice was
always requested and her menudo was one of a kind. She also loved fishing, painting and
making jewelry- especially rosarios for her loved ones. Mary was "The Aunt" that every
single niece and nephew and great niece and nephew wanted to be with. She had the heart
of gold and always made you feel special.

Mary lost the love of her life Feliciano on February 4th, 2021. They were married for 58
years and never a day apart. Mary's health began to decline and her dementia progressed
and triggered Alzheimers. In her final months, Mary enjoyed cruising, listening to music,
coloring in her coloring books alongside her great granddaughters, and reminiscing of her
childhood memories.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother Josephine Hernandez Chagolla, her father Jesus
Chagolla, her sisters Inez Chagoya, Evarista Chagoya, Rosa Chagoya and Francisca Chagoya,
her brothers Alejo Chagoya and Joe Chagoya and her great granddaughter Natalia Marie
Muñiz.

She is survived by her daughter Lupita and son-n-law Abraham Ruiz, daughter Lilly and
son-n-law Rodney Witherspoon and son Jr. Muñoz. Granddaughters' Vanessa and husband
Julian Muñiz ,Tiffany Bonilla, Nevaeh Muñoz and Josslyn Muñoz, grandsons' Marc Antonio
Ruiz and his lady Brianna Espinosa and Will Witherspoon. Great grandchildren Kennedy
Richardson, Alexa Muñiz and Liam Muñiz and many many other family members and
friends that loved her dearly.
