Mary Frances Thompson Nelson, 89, passed away August 14, 2016 in Arlington.

Graveside Service; Thursday, August 18, 11 a.m., Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth
Mary was born February 15, 1927 in Sunset, TX to Elvin and Mamie (McClendon) Chandler, the second of four daughters. She married the love of her life, Rayford Thompson after a short courtship. Mary worked for several years in customer service for Sears and Montgomery Ward and enjoyed sewing, reading, and especially motherhood and grand motherhood.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her son Terry Thompson (Suzanne DeVasher) and daughter Nancy (Steve) Seidner; grandchildren Cara and Adam and sisters Doris Barrett, Pat Morris and Ann Lighthill.
