Mary Payblas

Mary Payblas, age 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 20, 2022. She was born November 20. 1941 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jack W. and Matilda L. (Witt) Hix. Mary was a 1959 graduate of Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth. In 1960, Mary married her high school sweetheart, Russell L. Robbins of Fort Worth. Following his death in Vietnam in 1967, Mary met Nick Payblas. They were married July 3, 1970. Mary worked for HEB ISD at Bellaire Elementary and retired from Tarrant County College in 2006.
Mary loved to bowl, play Bridge and card games in general, sports – especially Trinity Trojan football, and spend time with her family. She was a devoted mother, wife, and Mimi.
Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Nick Payblas; son, Steven R. Robbins, daughter Stacy (Aaron) Vernon, son Philip (Louise) Payblas; grandchildren Lindsey Vernon, Cameron Vernon, and Peyton Payblas; sister Barbara Boyett and sister-in-law, Trisha Hix. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth R. Hix.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, August 27th from 1 PM – 3 PM at Texas Star, Euless, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Community Healthcare of Texas (hospice) which lovingly cared for Mary and our family in her final days.
