Mary Farley Pierce, 84, of Trophy Club, made her entrance into God's presence, Friday, March 15, 2013. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19th, Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St, Keller. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20th, Lucas Funeral Home, Keller. Interment: Bourland Cemetery, Keller.        Mary Thelma Farley was born June 24, 1928 in Dunns, West Virginia to Golda and Newton Farley. She grew up and attended schools in the McComas, West Virginia area, graduating from McComas High School in 1946 where she graduated Valedictorian. She met and married Delbert Lee Spicer in 1947. Nine months after their daughter was born, he was killed in an auto accident. She married Charles R. Pierce in 1967, and he preceded her in death in 1984.        Mary received her teaching degree from Concord State Teachers College, Athens, West Virginia, in 1965, a dream she had since the third grade. After retirement, she moved to Texas to live with her daughter and family. She was a charter member of Radiant Life Fellowship Church, Roanoke. She was preceded in death by her much loved grandparents; parents; three brothers, Ray, Francis and Willie J. (Jack) Farley; one sister, Goldie O'Dell and husband James; and one brother-in-law Ronald Thornton. Survivors: Daughter, Linda Lavender and husband Jerry; granddaughter, Lara Grace; great-granddaughters, Ceilia Lavender and Calli Webb; one brother Newton W (Junior) Farley and wife Garnet; one sister Stella Thornton; Sister-in-law, Kathleen Farley; as well as fourteen nieces and nephews and their families.
