Mary Elizabeth Rice

Mary Elizabeth Rice left this earth to meet Jesus on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Mary was born on July 27, 1934 to Earl and Madlene Berry Leonard in Alvarado, Texas. She attended schools in Alvarado, Venus, and Everman. She lived in Fort Worth for twenty-three years before moving to Heritage Place in Burleson in 2007.
Mary was blessed with five children: Nancy Kay Kirk, Joyce Ann Dingler (Ronnie), Lisa Ranea Ross (Steve), Danny Culwell Martin (Valerie), and Barbie Annette Pollard (Ross). Later, eleven grandchildren were added: Daniel Cody Dingler (Tawyna), Bradley Allan Ross (Niti), Lauren Ranea Ross Saldana (Jay), Ritchie Lynn Martin (Brooke), Ashley Jean Dingler Manchester (William), James Cameron Martin (Marguerite), Clayton James Pollard (Kendal), Alec Ross Pollard, Hunter Ross Pollard, Chase Ross Pollard, Caroline Elizabeth Pollard-Elliott (Bailey). Mary was also blessed with eight great grandchildren: Kaleb Dingler, Cheyenne Dingler, Haleigh Peters, Amon Ross, Isla Ross, Jaxton Saldana, Parker Saldana, and Bettye Martin.
Mary was loved and cherished by all who knew her. Her quiet, peaceful manner was welcoming to everyone. She loved God and her family with all her heart. Mary loved spending time with her kids and grandkids as well as with her friends at Heritage Place. She also loved her marathon trips to Kroger! Her passing leaves her friends, her family including her brothers and sisters, and her many nieces and nephews a void that cannot be filled.
Those preceding Mary in death are her parents; her beloved grandson, Chase Pollard; her brothers, Glen and Bennie Leonard; her son-in-law Kenny Howard; and her dear friend, Bettye Killgore.
