Mary Jean Carpenter Ross of Bedford, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28th surrounded by her family as she accepted her angel wings into Heaven.
Due to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines, there will be a graveside service on July 1, 2020 at 2pm at Oakwood Cemetery in Fort Worth, next to her husband.
Mary was born April 4, 1935 to Howard and Minnie Carpenter. She was the oldest of three girls. She grew up in Olney, Texas on a farm. Every weekend family, especially cousins galore, gathered, enjoying the outdoors.
Mary and Neil exchanged wedding vows January 17, 1957. She attended nursing school for a short period but went on to help Neil with his school and his career. She did remain in a health care setting for many years. She worked at Glenview Hospital/North Hills for 36 years. She loved people and would do anything to help someone.
Together they raised a son Bill and a daughter Christina.
She adored her grandchildren and great granddaughter, Hazel. Her granddaughters helped take great care of Mamaw in her final months as well as our very special friend, Isabel Trevino.
She was preceded in death by her husband Neil, her mother and father and her two sisters.

Daughter, Christina Wiesner and husband Ed, Son, Bill Ross. Grandchildren, Ashley Hinojos and husband Michael, Jennifer Norton and
Great granddaughter, Hazel Marie Hinojos. As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
