Mary Helen Terry Stevenson, 87 of Burleson, passed away Monday, October 18,2021 peacefully at home surround by her loved ones. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, November 1, 2021 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave., in Burleson. Mary was born August 12, 1934 in Hopewell, Texas to Horace and Evelyn Wallace. She grew up in Avinger, Texas. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church in Burleson. Mary and her husband, Leon P. Stevenson (Steve) would have been happily married for 70 years November 1, 2021. She enjoyed sewing, riding motorcycles, cooking, photography, and music of all types.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon P. Stevenson (Steve); parents, Horace and Evelyn Wallace; brother, Tim Terry; nieces, Karon Terry and Elizabeth Simon; and grandson, Jason E. Stevenson.
Mary is survived by her children, Mikel Stevenson and wife, Pat, Kenneth Stevenson and wife, Vicki, and Tracy Stevenson-Olanrewaju and husband, Olayinka (Shola); grandchildren, Melanie Cast and husband, Rob, Lisa Albany and husband, Bill, Brandi Bussell and husband, David, Kevin Bedford, Cameron Albany, Bailey Albany, Jordan Thomas-Olanrewaju, and Keegan Olanrewaju; great-grandchildren, Maddie and Natalie Cast and Briar and Boone Bussell; brother, Wayne Terry and wife, Tina; niece, Tammy Walls; and nephew, Tony Terry.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
