Mary Catherine Watts

July 22, 1932 — June 17, 2018

EVERMAN – Mary Catherine Fellers Watts, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018, after a courageous six-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Everman. Interment: Everman Cemetery in Everman, Texas. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home in Burleson, Texas.

Catherine was born July 22, 1932, to Sylvester Matthew and Clara Mae Wells Fellers in Oglesby, Texas. Over the years, she worked at Whitehouse Boats, Baker Brothers Nursery, and Ronald McDonald House. Catherine was an excellent cook. She had a huge garden and enjoyed canning and cooking for family and friends. She loved to share her famous pound cakes and pecan pies. Catherine loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law. She had traveled to all 50 states. She also took her grandchildren on numerous and memorable traveling adventures.

She was a long-time, dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Everman and treasured her relationship with Christ. Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She has more friends that anyone can count. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Fellers; brother, Donald Fellers; and niece, Linda Horner.

Survivors: Husband of 65 years, Arvin Eugene; sons, Terry Watts and wife, Dubra, and Travis Watts and wife, Patti; sisters, Sybil Dean and Ollie Peacock; brothers, Byrl Fellers and wife, Brenda, and S.D. Fellers and wife, Pat; sister-in-law, Marilyn Fellers; brother-in-law, E.K. Watts; grandchildren, Tara Phillips and husband, Wayne; Dane Watts and wife, Amy; Mary Gonzalez and husband, Adolfo; Trey Watts and wife, Kayla; and Megan Stanley and husband, Tyler; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers: Roddy Dean, Rocky Dean, Steve Peacock, Cody Fellers, Britt Fellers, and Kevin Fellers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the food pantry fund at First Baptist Church of Everman.
