Mary Louise Graham Wright, 88, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016.

Mary was born July 30, 1928, in Houston, TX, to Luna and Lucy Graham. The family moved from Houston to Roanoke, TX when she was a toddler. Mary graduated from Roanoke High School in 1945 and married her husband of 54 years, Roy Wayne Wright, in 1946. The couple resided in Smithfield, TX and were active members of the Smithfield United Methodist Church for many years.
Mary retired from Texas Instruments after 35 years and began filling her time writing quirky stories for the Roanoke Senior Citizen Center’s monthly newsletter. She enjoyed gardening, genealogy, writing, traveling, and thrill seeking. For her 60th birthday, she requested a hot air balloon ride and when no one was brave enough to join her, she opted to go by herself. Independent, funny, stern, and kind where what made Mary, Mary.
The family would like to thank the Bishop Davies Nursing Home staff for their help and kind hearts. Your dedication to Mary's comfort and needs were greatly appreciated.
Mary was proceeded in death by her husband, Roy Wayne Wright, sons Larry and Troy Dale Wright, daughter Darla Wright Beck, and brother, Richard Graham.
Survivors: Children: Kerry Wright (Linda), Sheri Daigle (Ricky), Marla Sones (Stephen), son-in-law, John Beck, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
