Matiah Sato Dennis

Matiah carried on to raise her family, where she became an honored matriarch. After a war broke out in her home country, she and her children were brought to the United States by her eldest daughter and husband, Musu and Yak Marek and settled in Texas. She spent several years working at Anatole hotel in Dallas, where she was a loved and respected employee and coworker. Following her retirement, her days were spent as a homemaker focusing solely on caring for her grandchildren. Her most cherished memories were of her family. Matiah became a citizen of the United States just before she passed. Matiah is remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will forever be missed.

Matiah was preceded in death by her husband, Simeon Dennis; her son Samuel Dennis; 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Matiah is survived by her children, Musu, Evelyn, Abenigo, and Mardea; 24 grandchildren; a bunch of great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
