In the tender embrace of family and the comforting arms of his loving parents, Jose and Xochitl Cruz, Matias Ezra Cruz entered this world on May 16, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX. His gentle soul illuminated the lives of all who knew him until he peacefully departed on October 14, 2024, leaving a void that can never be filled.
Matias, a precious son, dear brother to Caylee, Joshua, and Matteo Cruz, and cherished grandchild, brought joy and light to his family’s hearts. His loving spirit will forever be carried in the hearts of his dear grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, Priest Father Nguyen, god parents, many cherished friends and medical staff who helped care for him, who were touched by his brief yet profound presence.
In the spirit of love and remembrance, a Mass in honor of Matias will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on October 21, 2024, at 10:30 am. Friends and family are invited to join in a time of reflection and tribute at the visitation at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas on October 20, 2024, from 4 - 6 pm, with a Rosary to take place at 5pm.
In the coming days, the gentle soul of Matias will find its final resting place in Bourland Cemetery, on October 21, 2024, at 12:30 pm, where his memory will bloom eternal, like the flowers that grow there.
In this time of sorrow, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Matias and the love he brought into our lives. May the embrace of family and friends provide comfort during this solemn time, as we bid farewell to a beloved son, brother, and grandchild.
Rest peacefully, dear Matias, your light will forever shine upon us all.
