Matthew Todd Malone

December 27, 1960 — December 22, 2022

Matthew Todd Malone was born in Arlington, Texas, the son of Gracie and Joe W. Malone, Jr. on December 27, 1960. He is the Father of four adult children: Luke, Connor, Mary, and Abigail. He was blessed with his first grandson, David Owen Parten, in 2022.

Matt graduated with honors from Paris High School, in Paris Texas, received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas A&M in Commerce and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas. He became a Field Manager for IBM in Fort Worth, where he worked for several years.

Later, Matt discussed with his dad a passion for building a data processing business of his own. He wanted to do this in Grapevine. Joe, an IBM retiree, joined him in this pursuit, and eventually the whole Malone family took up residence here.

Matt's after-work passion was the Rickenbacker Bass guitar we bought him when he was 14. Matt was a Christian and a member of the Baptist Church. He played his guitar for worship services at Paris First Baptist Church, Ridgecrest Baptist Church of Greenville, Grapevine First Baptist, Fellowship of the Parks, and many other venues as opportunities opened up.

Matt lived at home the last two years of his life. He often professed that he was a believer in Jesus Christ and celebrated the truth. The LORD called me, caught me, and changed me; I will stand before Him, forgiven.
