Matthew was born on Nov. 4, 1997 in North Richland Hills to Michael Sathre and Leah Patterson. He attended and graduated from Lawrence D. Bell High School.
Matthew was an avid motorcycle stunt rider and musician. Many weekends he could be found in group rides and performing “wheelies” on local highways. A hardworking and independent spirit, Matthew proudly founded and operated a hotshot trucking business — Sathre General Transport.
His love for motorcycles was second to the joy he found being a father to Hazel, 3, and spending time with his partner and Hazel’s mother, Madison Smith.
Matthew is remembered by his friends and loved ones for his casual and accepting nature, as well as his knack for finding ways to make others laugh. Social media tributes to Matthew are filled with memories of his big smile and loud laugh.
Despite his struggles with bipolar depression, those closest to him recognized how hard he worked everyday to overcome them. Matthew wanted to help people and is remembered for his willingness to go out of his way to support anyone in need.
Matthew was preceded in death by his late father, Michael, and uncle, Jason Michael Patterson.
