Maureen Gavin

Maureen Flynn Gavin, age 67, born April 30, 1954 in Rochester New York to Michael Dennis and Mary Lillian Flynn passed away peacefully with her family at her side on May 19, 2021 in Southlake Texas.

She graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in Rochester New York and then received her bachelor’s degree from St. Edward’s University in Austin Texas. She enjoyed her career as a teacher for over 42 years at many schools, most recently in Carroll ISD, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seaton, and Fort Worth ISD.

She married John Gavin in August 10, 1985 and together they enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. Maureen was full of joy and enjoyed times spent laughing and enjoying life with those around her.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Gavin; daughter, Jennifer Lunt, her husband Adam and their two children Austin and Brayden Lunt; son JP Gavin and his wife Katie; youngest son Michael and his wife Abby and brother Joseph Raymond Flynn. She is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Mary Lillian Flynn; brother Joseph William Flynn and sister Carolyn Massaro.
