Maureen Elizabeth Spezia

Maureen Spezia, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on August 7. Everyone who knew her will remember her smile and think of her as the wonderful daughter, sister, student, and patient who brightened their day. Her family, classmates and teachers, therapists, doctors, and nurses at Cook Children’s, and everyone else who spent time with her, loved her. Holding and squeaking her Mr. Zebra, Maureen has left a positive presence and brightened the halls of each of the many facilities she visited throughout her much too brief life. Those who met her, loved her and will miss her.

Maureen is survived by her mother Cynthia Spezia, her sisters Barbara and Joan Spezia, and her father Matthew Spezia.

A visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Monday, August 15 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX. The funeral service will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, August 16 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Westlake Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Cook Children’s Hospital.
