Melinda Crittenden Hedger, 78, passed away peacefully in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Melinda was born to Claude and Opal Crittenden on September 24, 1943, in Fort Worth. She went to school in Fort Worth and graduated from Riverside High School in 1962. Melinda married David Fojtasek in 1963 and settled in Garland, had three children, and worked as a homemaker and busy mother to three boys.

In September of 1986 Melinda married Eddie Roy Hedger and lived in Granbury, Texas before moving to Colorado. Melinda and Eddie returned to Granbury where Ed preceded her in death in 2001. She then lived out the rest of her years next door to her sister Claudia Hallmark who also preceded her in death in 2016.
Melinda is also preceded in death by her son Scotty Wayne Fojtasek, brother Eddie Glen Crittenden and her parents.
Melinda loved her church, loved to garden, and cook as well as being a caretaker to many children in the family at some point in their lives. She loved her dogs and cats and keeping houseplants.

Melinda is survived by her son, David Fojtasek II and his wife, Lori; son Jason Fojtasek and his wife, Kim; Grandchildren Chelsea Fojtasek Polinsky, Hailee Fojtasek Smith, Pierson Fojtasek, Carl Fojtasek, Jennifer Fojtasek, Destiny Walton and Katie Roberts; Sister-in-law Sydney Crittenden; Nieces Kim Jones and Jacqie Anderson as well as several great grandchildren.
