Merle Ruth Harston Hamm

Merle Ruth Harston Hamm, 89, of North Richland Hills, departed her earthly life and went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2017. Merle was born April 27, 1927 in Fort Worth, Texas to Brad and Marian Harston. She was a graduate of Carter-Riverside High School and attended Abilene Christian University. Merle was a charter member of The Hills Church, and humbly served with her husband, Bob, for over fifty years.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the Atrium of The Hills Church from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at The Hills Church, North Richland Hills. Donations may be made in her memory to the Community Enrichment Center, 6250 N.E. Loop 820, North Richland Hills, TX. 76180.

Merle was the beloved wife of Bob Hamm for 67 years. She was the loving mother to son, Jimmy, and wife, Donna Leigh Hamm; daughter, Melinda Giacomarro; and daughter, Donna, and husband, Rick Work. She was also the cherished Grandmommy to eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and a grace-filled example to a host of loving, extended family and friends.
