Merna Lynn Mann

Merna Lynn Mann, 78, of Burleson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July, 16, 2018.
Merna was born in Teague, Texas on October 10, 1939. She graduated from Teague High school in 1958 then attended Sam Houston State University. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas then her Master's Degree from Texas Christian University. She met the love of her life, Donald Gene Mann, while at Sam Houston State University and they married on September 3, 1960. She was an avid gardener as she would spend 4-5 hours a day tending to her flowerbeds and yard. Merna loved to travel, but her favorite mode of travel was cruising. She was a true sports fan as she followed her beloved Horned Frogs, Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. She will be missed by her family and many friends that shared her interests.
Merna was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Thomas (M.T.) Knight and Edna Evelyn (Evelyn) Knight.
Survivors: Merna is survived by her loving husband, Donald Gene Mann; children, Denise Lynn Mann Hayes and husband, Craig, Kelly Don Mann and wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Hunter Wylie, Lauren Mann and Zachary Mann; brother, Lloyd Edd Knight and wife, Gail; sister, Cheryl Jean Smith and husband, Curtis and numerous nieces and nephews.
