Michael Don Gasaway was born on July 3, 1949 in Kumajura-Shi, Kanagaua, Japan to the late B.F. and Billie Gasaway. He passed away on January 27, 2023 in Dallas. He was a graduate of W.W. Samuell High School and El Centro College and University of Texas at Arlington. He married Diana Gasaway on March 8, 1976. He loved his job as a dispatch supervisor for over 50 years. He lived in Midlothian, Saginaw and then in Hurst. He was a loyal Texas Rangers baseball fan. He also loved fishing and going to Casinos. He had a dry sense of humor was always funny. He was a proud father, grandfather and veteran. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Christian Gasaway; daughter, Angela Ruth Gasaway and brothers, Tommy R. Gasaway, and William A. Watson.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Gasaway; daughters, Melody Gasaway and Diana Gasaway-Fagan; sons, Michael Ray Gasaway and Billy Don Fagan; Grandchildren, Alexander, Erika, Alysia, Timothy, Scot, Jeniffer and Elijah; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Atlas and Huxley; sisters, Vickie Compton and husband, Tommy, Sherry Leistikow and husband, Bruce, and Debbie Rios; and brother, Victor Watson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 8, 2023 also at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst with Rusty Hudson officiating. Committal service with honors will be begin at 1:30 P.M. at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
