Michael E. Mead 66, was called home to be with the Lord on January 19. 2018.
Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Hillside Community Church, 9915 Ray White Road, Keller, TX 76248.

Michael was born on November 10, 1951 in Bloomington, IL.
He was the third child of four children of the late Leroy and Myrtus Mead, both from IL.
Michael voluntarily served in United States Marine Corp for four years and one month and received the Good Conduct and Rifle Marksmanship medal with device. He has a Bachelor of Science and a Regents External Degree in Liberal Studies. During this time in his career he met and married the love of his life Lisa L. Garcia of 41 years and raised two handsome sons.
Following his honorable discharge from the Marines he began his new career as a firefighter in Beeville TX on the Naval Base. He then became a Mailman and continued on to advancement to a Federal Agent as a Postal Inspector. After 25 years of Government service Michael retired and enjoyed his time doing woodworking and spending time with his family.
Michael will always be remembered as a kind, gentle Christian and a devoted family man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa; his sons, Joseph {Julie}, Erick {Nikki}; grandchildren, Rhiannon, Kiernan, Sofia, Samantha, Jax and Riley; his sponsored adopted daughter, who resides in Africa Luyanda Mdluli; sister, Jo {Tom}While; brothers, Andy {Leslie} and Mark Mead.
