Michael Wayne Murphy

Michael Wayne Murphy, 66, of Colleyville passed away Tuesday, May 14th, 2019.
​He was born to Cecil N. Murphy, Jr. and the late Allynne Virginia Owen Murphy, February 13, 1953, in Killeen, TX. Mike graduated from David W. Carter High School in 1971. He married Sheryl Ann Dudley on June 26, 1983 and they were married for over 35 years.
​Mike was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Grapevine, Texas and proudly served in multiple leadership positions for over 15 years.
​Mike is survived by his wife, Sheryl, and two children; Chad Murphy and wife Michelle of Overland Park, Kansas; and Shelby Murphy of Colleyville, Texas. He is also survived by two grandchildren; Hunter and Paige Murphy of Overland Park, Kansas. Mike is also survived by his three siblings and their partners; Larry and Sandy Murphy of Aledo, Texas; David Murphy and Laura Benzenhoefer of Whitney, Texas; and Kay Murphy and Carla Walker of Waco, Texas.
​In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Grapevine Elks Charities.
​Visitation with the family will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday May 17, 2019 at Lucas Funeral Homes Grapevine. The funeral service is Saturday May 18, 2019 at 2pm at Lucas Funeral Homes Grapevine.
