April 13, 1959- November 17, 2019

On Sunday, November 17, 2019 Michael Reusch, loving husband and father of four, left this life at the young age of 60.
Mike was born on April 13, 1959 in our nation’s capitol, but grew up first on Long Island, NY and then Seabrook, NH. He attended Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, NH. An Army veteran, Mike spent four years enlisted, much of it in Europe. He received an Army Commendation Medal prior to his discharge in 1984.
Mike’s career took off when he joined Oracle Corporation in 1994. He left Oracle as a Senior Practice Director in 2004 to join Fidelity Investments, Inc. where he spent the next 13 years reaching the level of VP of Information Technology for Accounting, Procurement, Tax and Treasury. Most recently Mike was enjoying getting to know his new colleagues at Parexel International where he recently signed on as a Senior Director supporting the IT needs for Finance and Procurement.
It was while Mike was at Oracle in Boston that he met the love of his life, Linda Gallagher of Brooklyn NY. The two were married in 1997. Mike liked to brag that he got married unusually late in life because he was waiting for the right one to come along. Three years later came Jack, the first of their four children. Jack was followed a year later by brother Ryan, and then Desmond (2004) and Edie (2010). In 2012 the family relocated to Southlake, Texas where they still reside.
Nothing was more important to Mike than his family, although the Patriots were a close second. In fact, one of Mike’s more endearing qualities was his devotion to all of his Boston sports teams, but especially the Pats and Bruins. And while his loyalty to New England sports could not be shaken, Mike grew to love his Southlake community and their sports teams just as much. Mike was also an avid golfer, loving the mental and physical challenges of the game, as well as the opportunity it gave him to spend time on the course with friends and family. Mike’s prowess as a golfer was a source of pride for him, but something he never lorded over an inferior opponent. He often commented that one of the things he loved most about the sport was the ability for players of different skill levels to compete on a level playing field. And tipping a beer or two in the clubhouse afterwards was always a nice bonus.
Mike was one of those people whose smile was always genuine. His friendships came easily to him and lasted forever. The oldest of nine siblings, Mike taught his brothers and sisters the importance of family. He was most proud of his children and their achievements, with Jack starting college this year. He will miss seeing Des’ latest play, Edie’s next cheer and dance performances and Ryan’s Dragons football team as they advance through the playoffs this season.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, Edward Michael Reusch and a sister, Julie Reusch Hayes and by their beloved family pet, Rosie, as well as his brother-in-law Danny McManus. He is survived by his wife Linda, sons Jack, Ryan & Desmond, daughter Edie, all of Southlake, TX, his mother Julie Saver Reusch of Seabrook, NH, his siblings Ed Reusch (wife Melissa) of Frisco, TX, Kevin Reusch (wife Maryrae) of Hampton, NH, Amy McManus of Hampton, NH, Christopher Reusch of Woburn, MA, Quentin Reusch of Beverly, MA, Sean Reusch (wife Christine) of Dover, NH and Mary Kate Allan (husband John) of North Hampton, NH, brother-in-law David Hayes of Berwick, ME as well as 19 nieces and nephews and one grand-nephew.
