Michael (Mike) Glenn Williams, loving husband and father, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was born in Jackson, Tennessee on September 6, 1958. His family moved to Corpus Christi where he spent most of his childhood years, graduating from W.B. Ray High School in 1976. He received an Associate degree from Del Mar College. He moved to Dallas after accepting a job with Texas Instruments and continued his education at The University of Texas at Arlington where he completed his B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He remained with Texas Instruments as a Software Engineer for more than 40 years. One of his proud achievements was having his name on a technology patent.
Mike had a lifetime love of rock n roll music, attending concerts throughout his life. He had a passion for discovering new artists and enjoyed introducing others to his latest finds. He had a knack for striking up conversations and making friends wherever he went, no matter the circumstance. He had an insatiable curiosity and desire for learning. He loved to watch comedy, share jokes, and make others laugh. Some of his many favorite memories included time spent with family and friends around his pool table and backyard patio. He loved his home in Grapevine and all that the city has to offer, especially great times he had on Main Street.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Bob Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Karen Novak Williams; his daughter, Michelle (Aaron) White; his son, Christopher Williams; his mother, Hazel Jacobs Williams; numerous relatives and a large extended family of in-laws.
As he would have wanted, in true Mike fashion, we will celebrate his life on June 25, 2022, beginning at 2pm at the Williams’ home. Please contact Michelle White for the address at (817) 247-5740.
