Michael Young, 27, of Keller, Texas, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on February 10, 2025. He was born on December 26, 1997, at Harris Methodist HEB and, from the very beginning, was a gift of pure joy to all who knew him.
He was a bright light in the lives of so many, sharing his love for water, playing catch, dinosaurs, bears, beads, and, most importantly, the people he met along the way. His infectious spirit and kind heart left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael participated in the Special Olympics, where he displayed determination and joy. His enthusiasm for life was unmatched, and he found pure happiness in the simplest of things.
Throughout Michael’s life, and especially in his final days, the goodness of God was evident. His family experienced His unwavering presence, peace, and love as they walked through this difficult journey. Though their hearts grieve, they hold fast to the promise that Michael is now whole and rejoicing in the presence of his Savior. They are deeply grateful for the countless ways God’s faithfulness was displayed—through the kindness of friends and family, the comfort of His Word, and the assurance that Michael’s life had profound purpose and meaning.
Michael is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Scott and Emily Young; his siblings, Hannah, Paul, & Tessa; and his grandparents, Don and Jackie Corley, and Alan and Teri Young. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and caregivers who cherished him dearly.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Sunday, February 16th, at 5:00 PM at The Hills Keller Campus, 2525 Florence Road. The family will receive visitors in the MPR at the church an hour prior to the service.
Michael’s life was a testament to joy, perseverance, and God’s unfailing love. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
