Michael Earl Zufelt, a cherished resident of Burleson, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on December 14, 1949, in Globe, Arizona, to JoAnn and Warren Zufelt, Michael was shaped by his early years spent growing up in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

 Michael's life was defined by both service and dedication. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after a distinguished career as an Air Traffic Controller. Following his military service, he continued to serve his community as a 911 Communications Supervisor for the City of Arlington, retiring after 18 years.

 Those who knew Michael will fondly remember him for his love of travel and the joy he found in spending time with family and friends. He had a remarkable ability to bring laughter into any gathering, always possessing a relaxed demeanor that put others at ease. His passion for meaningful conversations was evident, as he enjoyed engaging deeply with people from all walks of life. Michael was an avid football fan and delighted in discussing the game with others. Additionally, he had a profound appreciation for music, particularly the sounds of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, with The Beatles holding a special place in his heart.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Nancy Lee Zufelt; his children, Chris Zufelt of Orlando, Florida, Jenny Mevers (Jack) of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Lori Gill (Jim) of Burleson, Texas; his sister Patsy Newhouse (Jim) of San Diego, California; his grandchildren, Carissa Degone (Eddie) of Burleson, Texas, Katherine and Cody Zufelt of Orlando, Florida, Madison and Carson Degone of Burleson, Texas; and his aunt Shelly Cole (Joe) of Salt Lake City UT.

 Michael is preceded in death by his beloved parents and grandparents, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love.
