Michelle “Missy” McGee Kells was born on January 24, 1957 in Austin, Texas to her beloved mother and father, Jeanette Tindall McGee and William T McGee.

Within a year of being born, Missy, her older sister, Janel and her parents moved to their forever home in Fort Worth, Texas where they would quickly grow from a family of 4 to a family of 7 following the addition of Missy’s younger siblings, Pam, Mark and Angela just a few years later.

Growing up in small town Texas, Missy went to church every week with her family at the Church of the Holy Apostles and found happiness in creating art, writing poetry, riding horses and spreading love to all of God's furry creatures.

She also enjoyed taking summer trips to Eagle Mountain Lake and visiting New Mexico, Colorado, Yellowstone, Port Aransas and Atlanta with her parents and 4 siblings.

Missy continued to live in Ft. Worth until she graduated from Western Hills High School and went off to attend college at Texas Women’s University at the age of 18.

While attending TWU in January, 1978, she met her best friend, soul mate and future husband, Chad Kells, on a cold, wintery night and the two fell head over heels for each other like it was destiny.

By February, they were celebrating their engagement and a year later, they tied the knot forever with their wedding on April 21st, 1979 at Christ the King Episcopal Church in Fort Worth.

After the wedding, Missy and Chad spent their honeymoon in Estes Park, Colorado riding horses and enjoying the beginning of their new life together before moving to her husband's home in Hurst, Texas.

Later in her adult life, she continued to pursue many of her childhood passions and put a smile on the faces of her friends and family every year with her amazing art work and poetry in the greeting cards she sent out for birthdays and holidays.

She never missed sending a card for every special occasion and even went on to get one of her best poems, "Freedom", published.

As a child, her father called her, “Sweet Missy” and those who were close with Missy, know that she was always thinking of and doing everything she could to help others.

Both of which she clearly demonstrated through her passion for rescuing furry animals, contributing to a variety of charities in her adult life.

Missy will always be remembered as the kind, loving and compassionate person that she was and the memories she shared with her husband, siblings, friends and family will be cherished forever.

Preceding Michelle in her death were her parents; Jeanette Tindall McGee and William T McGee, and nephew, Jeremy Tyler McGee.
