Mildred Ann Streeter Pettit
April 20, 1942 – September 14th, 2022

Millie was born in Dallas, Texas to Henry Leon Streeter and Eva Mildred Pollard. She graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1960. Having been born a dairy farmer’s daughter, she loved all things Texas and history. She had a genuine concern for others which ended up culminating in a position with Texas Utilities, where she worked as an advocate for needy people to find them funding to assist them during their times of need. Millie worked from the age of 18 until she was in her 50s, when she retired from TU. She held various positions including working in MIS as a manager and ended her career as a Customer Advocate. She then continued working for Medical Advocacy Services in Healthcare. She was a medical advocate who represented clients who needed medical assistance, and even served as their attorney, winning many cases in court. Millie retired twice from MASH, and finally retired in her 70s from the company having served many needy clients during her tenure.

Millie’s kindness and her love for others was never ending. Whether it was family, friends, church family, acquaintances or even strangers, her love made everyone who knew her know that they were blessed to have had her in their lives. She was a true angel who walked the earth.

Millie was most recently preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Tom Pettit. She is survived by her baby brother Doyle Streeter; her children Rhonda Alfieri, Kay Jackson, Pam Doolittle, Amy Ottinger and husband Melvin, Thomas Pettit, Jr and wife Jennifer, David Pettit and wife Vanessa; grandchildren Giacomo Alfieri and wife Ashley, Anthony Alfieri, Miranda Branch, Chase Pettit and wife Madi, Parker Hagler and wife Kaleigh, Madeline Pettit, Samuel Pettit, Camille Pettit, Gabrielle Pettit, Thomas Pettit, III, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Millie was loved and blessed and will be truly missed.
