Hermilo "Milo" Arnoldo Hinojosa, 82, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away on May 10, 2024. Known to many as a loving father, dedicated worker, and community volunteer, Milo's life was marked by his commitment to service and his passion for connecting with others.
Born in LaGrulla, Texas, on March 12, 1941, Hermilo grew up in a close-knit family. After graduating from Rio Grande High School, he enlisted in the Army and served in the Texas National Guard for several years. Milo pursued higher education at Pan Am University before starting a career in customer service, working for Braniff Airlines, serving on the DFW Airport, and later volunteering at DFW Airport post-retirement.
Throughout his life, Milo was an active member of the Keller community, participating in the Boy Scouts of America, Lion's Club of Keller, and enjoying his time at the Flower Mound Senior Center. He had a keen interest in gardening, travel, and conversing with people from all walks of life.
Milo is survived by his former wife, Susan Dillon Hinojosa; his daughters, Liann Hinojosa of Carrollton, Texas, Cindy Wilson and husband Jeff of Flower Mound, Texas, and Ashley Rosenbaum of Keller, Texas and stepdaughter, Jennifer Rodriguez and husband Eric of Hurst, Texas; grandchildren, Zoey Hernandez, Caroline Wilson, Ty Monninger, Cody Wilson, Mia Rodriguez, and Samara Rosenbaum; brothers Arturo Hinojosa and wife Cleo of McAllen, Texas, Jaime Hinojosa of McAllen, Texas, Humberto Hinojosa of McAllen, Texas, and Cesar Hinojosa and wife Belinda of McAllen, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Hermilo Hinojosa and Berta Diaz Hinojosa, brother Noe Hinojosa, and former wife Mabel Hargraves Hinojosa.
A memorial service to celebrate Milo's life will be held at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lion's Club in Keller
