From 1993 to 1997, Monte was Director of Testing and Counseling at the June Shelton School & Evaluation Center in Dallas. Dr. Davenport was the Diagnostic Services Coordinator at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children from 1993 to 2010. In 2010, Monte and Kay Lynn took a leap of faith and opened their private counseling practice, Life Solutions of Dallas-Fort Worth, in Southlake, Texas, where Monte helped numerous children, adolescents, young adults, and families make the most of their lives, until April of this year, when he became seriously ill.
