NANCY ANN SKELTON MONICO, age 87 of Saginaw Texas passed away in her daughter’s home May 28, 2019. She was preceded in death by her Husband Leon Marion Monico and her son Carl Leon Monico, and his wife Carol, and great-grandson Julian Avery. Her dad William Argyle and mother Geneva Watts Skelton, and her brothers Eugene Skelton, William Argyle Skelton JR and her sisters Elsie Pearl Cashion, Mayde Joy Chandler.
Nancy was the youngest of 5 children. She was 7 years old when her dad died. Her mom managed to take care of Nancy and her sister Mayde and moved to Dallas. Nancy meet the love of her life Leon Monico at a movie theater in 1948. They were married a week later they were married 41 years. She has lived in Saginaw Texas for the last 18 years. She was a longtime member of Highland Baptist church in Arlington Texas. She Worked at LTV for over 40 years when she retired. She had many passions like family, coffee, all her pets, painting and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter Judy and her husband Robert Avery, and grandchildren Kenneth Wayne Avery, Vickie Lynn and her Husband Gerald Ferguson, Sarah Monico and husband Rodney Stowell, Crystal Ann Monico, Angela Monico Rogers and her Husband Shane Rogers, Stephen Monico and James Monico. She has 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and one on the way. Numerous Nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held June 3, 2019 @ 11:00 am at Parkdale Cemetery. Officiated by Kevin Barke. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral home in Keller.
